Stadia Maps Alidade Smooth Style
The Alidade Smooth style is derived from the Positron GL Style.
The Positron GL Style is derived from CartoDB Basemaps designed by Stamen and Paul Norman for CartoDB Inc., licensed under CC BY 3.0.
The Positron GL style’s code is released under the BSD 3-Clause License.
The Positron GL Style’s design is released under CC BY 4.0.
Stadia Maps Alidade Satellite Style
The Alidade Satellite style incorporates some elements of the Alidade Smooth style. The imagery is also subject to copyright as noted above in our data source listing.
OSM Bright GL Style
The OSM Bright GL Style is derived from Mapbox Open Styles.
The OSM Bright GL Style’s code is released under the BSD 3-Clause License.
The OSM Bright GL Style’s design is released under CC BY 4.0.
Stamen MapLibre Styles
The Stamen MapLibre GL stylesheets for Toner, Terrain, and their respective layer groups are licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, with an additional license grant enabling commercial use and remixing with Stadia Maps’ vector tiles by paid subscribers.
The design of the Stamen MapLibre styles is released under CC BY 4.0.
Stamen Watercolor
The raster map tiles served from Stadia Maps network after July 31, 2023 are subject to our standard Terms of Service. The original tiles served from the Stamen CDN and the Smithsonian collection are licensed under CC BY 4.0.
The OpenStreetMap data used in the generation of Stamen Watercolor tiles is licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0.
The code for generating the Stamen Watercolor map tiles is licensed under the ISC license.
